LePage senior adviser honored by peers in D.C.

Brent Littlefield, a senior adviser to Gov. Paul LePage, recently was honored with a Reed Award by “Campaigns & Elections Magazine” for a political campaign he worked on in New York in 2011.The awards were announced at a reception last Friday in Washington, D.C.

“My job is to assist candidates, elected officials, and organizations communicate a message.  I am happy to be recognized for my work,” Littlefield said in a statement.

Littlefield has been a senior political adviser to LePage since his campaign for governor in 2010. He also advises Maine People Before Politics, a nonprofit organization that trumpets many of the governor’s initiatives.

In the past, Littlefield has worked for the Maine Republican Senate Caucus, U.S. Sen Olympia Snowe, former Maine Senate President Rick Bennett and others. He is the founder of the D.C.-based consulting firm Littlefield & Associates Consulting.

The Reed Awards recognize excellence in campaign management, political consulting and political communication.

Littlefield was honored for best use of printed communication.
