Day Two of the 2014 Maine GOP Convention

Greetings from the beautiful Queen City. Day Two of the 2014 Republican State Convention is underway here at the Cross Insurance Center, and just like yesterday, I’ll be updating live throughout the day.

Yesterday’s events focused on party business — adopting a platform, introducing State House Candidates, and drumming up support for Gov. Paul LePage and Republican lawmakers in Augusta. Today, marquee speakers are lined up to get the GOP fired up for the upcoming election.

Speakers include Maine’s incumbent senior Senator, Susan Collins, the most popular elected official in Maine. She’s joined by Tea Party and libertarian favorite Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and N.C. Gov. Pat McCrory. Rounding out the day’s speakers is the big man himself, LePage.

Miss yesterday’s action? Click here for the play-by-play of all the convention’s first-day events, and here for an analysis of how the Maine Republican Party has seemingly repaired the wounds caused by tea party and Ron Paul insurgencies in 2010 and 2012.

Remember to tag your Tweets, Instagrams and Facebook posts with #megopsc. Winning content will make its way into the live feed.

UPDATE: The convention is over. Below you’ll find an archive of the day’s events.
