Chris Cousins is the Bangor Daily News’ State House Bureau Chief. Christopher Cousins has worked as a journalist in Maine for 15 years and covered state government for numerous media organizations before joining the Bangor Daily News in 2009. Raised in Western Maine, he holds an undergraduate degree from Colby-Sawyer College and completed a year-long fellowship at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University in 2007. In addition to politics, his interests include the outdoors and just about any situation that puts him on a boat. He lives in the midcoast with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons.
Mario Moretto covers statewide politics from the Bangor Daily News State House Bureau. A 2010 graduate of the University of Maine, Mario first caught the reporting bug at The Maine Campus, the college’s award-winning newspaper. In 2010, he co-founded an online news organization, The Maine Observer. Since graduating college, he worked for Kennebec Journal and The Forecaster before joining the BDN in 2012. Mario lives in Hallowell.
